Two Roads Blog Tour: Interview with Author L.M. Augustine. #giveaway

Title: Two Roads
Author: L.M. Augustine
Hosted By: Romance Addict Book Blog - http://www.romanceaddictbookblog.com/

Today we are so excited to get to interview author L.M. Augustine here on the blog as part of the Two Roads blog tour. Sit back and enjoy!!

First off, can you tell us a little bit about yourself?

Of course! I'm the author of Two Roads and Click To Subscribe. I love writing romances about nerdy characters.

Can you tell us something that not a lot of people know about you?

Um… let's see. Well, I'm really interested in politics and contemporary world issues (especially social issues), and I have LOTS of opinions, which is something many people don't realize because I tend to be really quiet about them online. :-)

Where did the idea for Two Roads come from?

I always knew I wanted to write something totally different from my debut, Click To Subscribe, which is about best friends falling in love. And so I thought: what is the opposite of that? The answer I came up with was sworn enemies falling in love. And thus, Two Roads was born.

How is Logan Waters similar and/or different compared to other heroes in romance books?

In three words: he's a geek. And no, I don't mean that he's a little geeky; I mean he is a full-on geek. He has thick-rimmed glasses, he is obsessed with math and poetry, and he tends to keep to himself. He hates sports. He loves books. He is a complete and utter nerd, and, in my biased opinion, he is also totally awesome for it. It's my personal mission with writing romance to show that nerdy guys can be just as great and swoon-worthy as your typical alpha male.

Tell us a little about your writing process. Any pre-writing rituals or routines?

Yes! I always have to listen to music while I write. It doesn't matter what it is, but there's something about music that helps to take me away from the real world and focus on my characters.

When you create your characters do you ever put bits of either your personality or bits of personalities from people close to you?

Definitely! I pull pieces of personality from everywhere. Other books, movies, people I know in real life. I personally am not usually too much like my characters, but we almost always share the same sense of humor. I love unleashing my brand of weirdness onto the world through my characters. ;)

What are some good books you've read lately?

I absolutely loved Unteachable by Leah Raeder, Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver, and Before Now by Cheryl McIntyre.

If you could collaborate with another author in writing a book, who would it be?

Well, I would love to one day work with John Green or Colleen Hoover… but that is totally not happening. (Though I can dream!) I also think Cheryl McIntyre would be super fun to work with.

About Two Roads:

The only person poetry-loving Cali Monroe hates more than herself is Logan Waters, the geeky kid who lives in the dorm building next to hers.

Ever since Cali's parents told her she would amount to nothing, she has felt entirely inadequate. Friendless and alone, she takes on the mean girl role in hopes it will make her feel better--and Logan serves as the perfect target. He infuriates her with his obnoxiously long lashes, his all too perfect dimpled smile, and his complete lack of personality outside of his intelligence. It doesn't hurt that he's part of the reason her brother is dead, either. So Cali hates him, and he returns the favor. Thus, their prank-filled, insult-driven rivalry is born, and torturing Logan quickly becomes the highlight of her life.

But when Cali's parents set them up on a blind date, she begins to realize Logan might not be as boring as she always thought. He shares her love of poetry, takes a sadistic pleasure in making fun of crepes, and he makes her blush when he calls her smile pretty.

And hey, maybe those long lashes of his aren't that obnoxious after all…

Two Roads is New Adult Romance about finding love, standing out, and learning to embrace who you are. It contains some language and mild sexual content.
